For some people their pain and weakness can come on quickly, leaving sufferers with weakened grip and pain during certain arm movements, and can often include symptoms of pins and needles or weakness when trying to lift things. These symptoms can be indicative of a trapped nerve in the neck, so our treatments will always look at you as a whole body, not just one joint, to make sure we don’t miss anything important.

These symptoms can be indicative of a trapped nerve in the neck, so our treatments will always look at you as a whole body, not just one joint, to make sure we don’t miss anything important.

Our treatments are based around your individual needs, and can include one or more of the following:

  • Osteopathy – a hands on treatment which looks at how the joints of the body function and aims to restore good movement by combining joint mobilisations to improve stiffness, manipulations (‘clicking’) and soft tissue therapies such as massage, stretching and myofascial release. Treatments always discuss rehabilitation and often we give appropriate strengthening exercises and dietary advice to help prevent further injury.
  • Soft Tissue Techniques (massage, IASTM, stretching, myofascial release) - providing deep tissue massage to the body tissues that can focus on muscles relevant to the affected area. Along with osteopathy, massage can help restore efficient lymphatic flow.
  • Acupuncture – using needles to treat can often help relieve pain from injuries and conditions effecting your arms and is great for areas that are too tender to treat with hands on treatments.
  • Kinesiotaping can help with a multitude of things including reducing swelling and bruising along with offering gentle, non-restrictive support to the area.
  • Shockwave Therapy is excellent for injuries that are slow to heal and are an ongoing problem. Using radial pressure waves, the treatment helps to stimulate a healing response and accelerate your recovery.

Our treatments are gentle but efficient and can provide relief for your unique symptoms. As part of our ongoing care to you, we also offer ergonomic advice for aspects of your lifestyle that may be contributing to your condition to help minimise a return of pain, along with exercise and stretching advice to help you strengthen the area during your rehabilitation. We love helping you feel better and move well!
